Yuri Povolotsky | Composition

After completing his composition studies at the Gnesin Academy in Moscow (classes of Genrikh Litinsky and Alexei Muravlev), Yuri Povolotsky moved to Israel in 1991, where he became a member of the Composers' Union and other creative organizations. In addition to his works of symphonic and chamber music, musicals, songs and romances, albums for children and young people, music for theater and cinema, he is also the author of numerous compositions in the style of Jewish soul music. He is the winner of several Israeli composition awards and takes part in numerous international festivals of various genres. His works are performed all over the world. He is actively involved in concert activities as a pianist, arranger and musical director of various projects. He has been teaching for many years and has published musicological articles and essays in magazines and online publications.
