Antonio Del Castillo and Andrea Cicalese have been playing together for many years and have given concerts at the French Musicalta Festival, among others.
Accordionist Antonio Del Castillo, aged 18, is a prize winner at national and international competitions. At the national competition “Jugend musiziert” he won first prize with full points, second place at the competition in Pula, third place in Klingenthal and first place in the junior category at the Coupe Mondiale. He is one of the youngest scholarship holders of the association “Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now München e.V.” and played in the German National Youth Orchestra in the world premiere of “The Weight of Ash” by Mark Barden.
The 17-year-old violinist Andrea Cicalese has already performed as a soloist in Munich’s Gasteig and Herkulessaal. He made his solo debut with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic and completed a US tour with star pianist Alexander Malofeev. Next June, Andrea will perform the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto as soloist with the Prague Royal Philharmonic at the Munich Residence. A performance with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra under its legendary conductor JoAnn Falletta is planned in Buffalo in 2024.
