Born in 1976 in Urretxu (Basque Country), Gorka Hermosa is a multi-faceted musician: accordionist, composer, teacher, writer, publisher. Gorka Hermosa is one of the most played accordion composers today. His works for accordion and orchestra have been premiered by more than 50 orchestras in three continents. He was the first Spanish accordionist to play as soloist with an symphonic orchestra – the Spanish National Radio and TV orchestra – and has given concerts in China, Iran, South America and all around Europe. He has published thirteen own CDs, four books about the accordion history and has given masterclasses at Conservatories in China, Russia, America and Europe. Currently, he teaches the accordion at the »Jesús de Monasterio« Conservatory in Santander.
